  • Children's Sunday School

The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is a religious education program for children ages 3-12 based on the methods of Maria Montessori. The teachings are based on the conviction that God and the child are in a relationship. The child has a deep need to experience and a special capacity to enjoy the presence of God.

The Catechesis program meets Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 in the atrium, a room containing beautiful materials that focus the child's attention on key scripture passages or liturgical moments.

  • School of Discipleship for Adults

The School of Discipleship is an umbrella entity that encompasses all the adult education of the congregation offered on Sunday mornings and in special workshops, seminars and focus groups. It is based on the premise that all teaching and training is meant to empower members to be fruitful disciples of Jesus Christ.

The School of Discipleship meets Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 in Room 41.

  • Lay Eucharistic Minister Training

A Lay Eucharistic Minister is “a lay person authorized to administer the Consecrated Elements at a Celebration of Holy Eucharist.” LEMs must be confirmed and be a full communicant of the particular congregation in which he or she will serve. LEMs must be licensed by the bishop to serve in that congregation for a specified period of time and must serve under the direction of the Rector.

After eight weeks of training, there are two practicums in both at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. services.

  • Men's Bible Study

The Men’s Bible Study is a weekly gathering of men from the church and some former members and other friends who gather on Zoom to discuss portions of the Bible and share our lives together. (We meet on Zoom to accommodate members who live at a distance.) Our only text is the Bible; the discussion is facilitated by a lay leader who brings in other resources. All men are welcome and encouraged to participate. We are currently studying I Corinthians.

Men’s Bible Study meets every Thursday morning from 8 to 9 AM on Zoom.
